Partner ~ Step 2: Apply

A limited number of organizations will be invited to submit a full application for a grant based on their concept paper.  If you are invited to proceed, you can request a meeting with Brent Fearon, Senior Program Officer.  The meeting can take place in our offices (if you happen to be in the neighbourhood) or by phone or Skype (if not).  This meeting is not required, but offered if you wish more input on how to design a great proposal.

Through this conversation, you can learn what priorities and interests drive Bridgeway to consider partnering with you in your project.  Sometimes during this process, our discussions will lead your project concept to take on new characteristics or develop a new emphasis.  Other times, your original concept is affirmed and fine-tuned.  In either case, the goal is to ensure that the proposed project meets your goals and has the best chance of full consideration by Bridgeway’s Grantmaking Committee.

We want you to put your best proposal forward, and that’s why we’re willing to help.  But be aware:  Bridgeway staff do not make decisions on grants.  No matter how enthusiastic we appear to you, know that staff do not have the final say on projects being proposed.  About 20% of staff-recommended proposals to Bridgeway’s Grantmaking Committee are turned down.

Once you have finished preparing your full proposal and gathering all supplementary material, your application must be submitted online using Bridgeway’s Internet Grant Application Module (IGAM).  Links to the IGAM are below:
