Grants for 2017

Bridgeway Foundation is pleased to partner with the following organizations through grants in 2017.  Many of these grants were done in conjunction with Stronger Together 2017, a collaborative round of grants offered through a partnership with Stronger Philanthropy.

FH Canada Ending Poverty Together Hub 12-05-2017              30,000.00 To create and launch a web hub through a partnership with at least eight organizations for shared education and resources on poverty.
Ghana Rural Integrated Development (GRID) Ghana Youth Initiative: Growing a Future 12-05-2017              10,000.00 To pilot a sustainable income-generating and savings program for adolescents in NW Ghana using fish hatcheries in community ponds and gardens for agricultural produce.
Grand River Conservation Foundation FWR Dickson Wilderness Area – Trails for a Whole Community 12-05-2017                5,000.00 To build and maintain boardwalks for free public nature enjoyment and education opportunities as well as create access for families with wagons and strollers and people using mobility assistance devices.
Health Partners International of Canada Bringing Donors to the Field through Virtual Reality 12-05-2017              25,000.00 To produce a virtual reality (VR) video to be used in engage current and future supporters, leading to a donor base that is broadened by 10-15%.
Langs Imagine A Place 12-05-2017                5,000.00  Langs will expand its current community hub in size and partners to provide increase of services to people in the community.

Medical Ministry International Canada Cervical Cancer Screening on the Amazon River Utilizing New Canadian Technology 12-05-2017              15,000.00 To pilot HPV screening for women in remote communities along the Colombian Amazon and tributaries using new Canadian medical technology.
Northwest Baptist Seminary Mastering Mission through Mentoring Leadership 12-05-2017 12,500.00 To invest in the development of tools and resources to allow for the multiplication of competency-based theological education for over 30 other organizations or institutions.
Ontario Christian Gleaners Dried With Love Symposium 12-05-2017              10,000.00 To convene key delegates from at least 8 food aid organizations to share best practices at a gathering in Vernon BC in spring 2018.
Ratanak International Trafficking Vulnerability Reduction Project 12-05-2017              10,000.00 To launch three new rice mills into rural communities in Banteay Meanchey province, Cambodia to address local issues of poverty and trafficking with an upstream, strategic solution allowing youth to remain in their villages.
Save the Mothers Investing in Midwives Through Midwifery Mentorship Model 12-05-2017 51,400.00 To develop a model in ten Ugandan hospitals allowing for the mentoring of midwives, and to publicize the model through an academic journal.
Southwestern Ontario Youth For Christ Catalytic Converters 12-05-2017                5,000.00 To complete renovations and secure tooling needed for Automotive Shop.
Teen Challenge Canada GTA Women’s Centre Case Management System 12-05-2017              13,000.00 To develop and implement a new Client Management System into a regional women’s addiction centre, piloting it for introduction in centres across the country.
The Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce Capital Campaign Project 05-01-2017              10,000.00 To support the mission of a charity through a capital campaign project
The Wellspring Foundation for Education School Development Start-Up (Rubavu, Rwanda) 12-05-2017              30,000.00 To establish a new field office and start up teacher training operations in a new district of Rwanda, and to develop a paperless monitoring and evaluation system for grassroots reporting.
Trinity Western University Student Success Plan (SSP) 12-05-2017              33,000.00 To expand the university’s wellness centre capability and to introduce standard curriculum on human flourishing for all first year students.
Tyndale University College & Seminary Uncommon Ground Campaign 06-20-2017            150,000.00 To become a lead partner in funding the expansion of a Toronto-based Christian university/seminary to the Bayview Avenue facility of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
